American Cancer Treatment & Research Center is situated in Ikeduru Hospital Complex in Imo State, Nigeria. It is on the Owerri-Okigwe road in Iho, Ikeduru LGA. Apart from the cancer screening & treatment services, we offer the following:
The Hospital is fully equipped and is open 24 hours with Security. It has an intensive care (ICU) and critical care unit (CCU) forseriously ill patients and a neonatal intensive care unit. The hospital is fitted with a centralized oxygen supply which is crucial for critical patients. We routinely receive patients who arrive in comma due to burns, accidents, and or stroke. All patient records are entered and monitored on an online electronic medical register. Hence patient records can be viewed by Physicians even when not in the hospital and give instructions to carefully manage each patient under their care. Being on the National Highway, we receive a lot of Road Traffic Accident (RTA) cases. The hospital has a highly sophisticated Operating Theatre fully fitted with the latest of equipment including ventillators, automatic anaesthetic machines and even a C-arm.
The C-arm is capable of viewing and manipulating real-time fractures: We have a fully functional Neonatal unit with 5 heated incubators and phototherapy units.
The first pre-term baby born in Ikeduru Hospital at 27 weeks. They named her "Miracle" ! OB/GY & NICU
